Membership

We have agreed that there will be a two-tier membership: a member and a sponsored member.

Member

A member is someone who attends 5 out of 8 CORDs roundtables per annual (January through December) year. Members have first choice on attending special events. If there is room available sponsored members will be extended an opportunity to RSVP on a first come first serve basis. We will no longer be counting the fellowship dinner or social events towards membership requirements. In order to be a member in good standing you must meet the minimum roundtable attendance standards. Also for couples ~ if one of the two parties attends the roundtable it counts towards the attendance requirement for both parties of the couple.

A sponsored member is someone who is still getting to know us and us them. They have a sponsor who is working with them to adapt to the group dynamics. This term usually lasts for a period of 3 months. After three months their membership is reviewed and the group will vote at a roundtable whether to extend full membership or continue the sponsored status.

If a member in good standing cannot fulfill his or her commitments, their membership will be placed on inactive status, and when their schedule permits, they would be welcome back to CORDs at that time. A member in good standing is defined as someone whose obligations do not prevent their attendance requirements to be fulfilled. Someone who quits the group does not maintain their membership in good status will be dealt with on an individual basis.
